Photos: Mince pies for Christmas
Mince pies are a traditional Christmas treat in Britain, Australia and the rest of the English-speaking world – though not in the USA, where the term “mincemeat” often leads to confusion. Modern mincemeat for mince pies is a mixture of dried fruit, suet, spirits and spices – we’re not making our festive sweet pies with minced beef 😉
This recipe photo collection is great for illustrating mince pies and how to make them. From a pile of juicy mincemeat, to cutting out circles of pastry and lining the bun tin, through filling the shortcrust cases and adding festively-decorated lids, ready for the oven.
