Red conkers – Society6 collection
There’s no doubt that aside from the changing colours of the foliage, conkers are one of autumn’s prettiest gifts. Isn’t this radiant red-brown the most glorious colour? These conkers were collected from near my old school one weekend. Then, like so many of my finds, were brought home for a play date with my camera. There’s an alternative shot available too – where the white pith of the horse chestnut seeds is turned upwards to the light. If you’re looking for something a little different, I also found the conkers from a red horse chestnut tree on another autumn walk.
